Simulated price data by default — not connected to a live market feed and not investment advice. The Orb Score, factor cards, and "BIAS CONFIRMED" markers describe directional bias on the underlying only (derived from six weighted indicators plus the OR breakout + confirmed retest) — they do not select a strike, expiry, or account for IV, theta, or liquidity, and no signal here is a guarantee of outcome. Track the win/loss tally on the right and the Signal History outcome tracking above; those are this tool's real, honest accuracy — not a claimed number.
Live data: enter a symbol (and optionally a date — defaults to the most recent trading session) and click "Load Live Session" to run the ORB engine on real 15-minute bars from Alpaca's IEX real-time feed. This is genuinely real-time (not delayed) but reflects trades on the IEX exchange only, not the full consolidated tape — thinly-traded symbols may show gaps. No login or Pro plan required.

    📖 How ORB Works
OPENING RANGE → BREAKOUT → RETEST → CONFIRM → PLAN
    1. The Opening Range is established during the selected opening period (15/30/60 minutes at the start of the session).
    2. OR High = the highest price traded during the opening range.
    3. OR Low = the lowest price traded during the opening range.
    4. A bullish breakout requires a candle to close above OR High.
    5. A bearish breakout requires a candle to close below OR Low.
    6. A retest occurs when price returns to the broken OR level after the breakout.
    7. A confirmed bullish retest requires price to hold/reclaim OR High on a close.
    8. A confirmed bearish retest requires price to hold/reject OR Low on a close.
    9. Only after that confirmation does this engine classify the setup as a valid breakout/retest signal — a wick alone through either level is never enough.

    ORB Signal Engine FAQ

Is the ORB Signal Engine free?
Yes — it's free for everyone, no login or Pro plan required, including live 15-minute bars.
What is an Opening Range Breakout (ORB) strategy?
ORB is a strategy that trades a breakout above or below the high/low set in the first 15–60 minutes of the session (the "opening range"), typically waiting for a retest of that level before entering — the exact logic this tool runs live.
Does a bullish or bearish signal here guarantee a winning trade?
No. The Orb Score reflects conditions favoring buyers or sellers from six weighted indicators plus a confirmed breakout and retest — not a guarantee. Track your own win/loss tally and the Signal History outcome tracking for the tool's real, honest accuracy.
What does the Orb Score actually measure?
A weighted composite of six factors — Trend, Momentum, Volume, VWAP, Support/Resistance, and Pattern — recalculated every candle. It shows how aligned conditions currently are, not a prediction of what happens next.
